Advent Wreath Blessing
For Use by Laypersons
To use this blessing, set out your Advent wreath and pray the prayer below over the wreath (or in proximity). If you have some, you may sprinkle some holy water over the wreath as well. If you wish to have your wreath blessed by a priest rather than ask a blessing yourself, contact your local parish and inquire about that process.
The Blessing
O God,
Blessed are You, king of the universe: You have created all things for your eternal glory.
We ask your blessing on this Advent wreath, that it may provide us with your loving grace, and prepare us for the coming of Christ your Son.
Through the same Christ our Lord,
Amen
