Prayer For Family Reunion

Father, we thank you for providing us with this meal while we can all be together enjoying each other's company. Let us savor this meal while we bask in the light of the Holy Spirit, and feel what it means to be alive, well, and happy with our great family here today. With every bite and sip we take in, Lord, we thank you. In God's name, we pray. Amen.

Dearest Heavenly Father, it is with the utmost happiness that we are here today, together, praying to you. We thank you for this time we were able to share together, as we cannot do it as often as we wish. One final thing we ask our you at this family reunion is to guide our family members safely on our trips back home, that you embrace us and keep us out of harm's way. We love you, Father, and thank you again for bringing us together to rejoice in you. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I want to thank you for bringing us together today to start our much-needed family reunion. We asked to be brought close to one another and it was in you that we found the strength and resources to put this family reunion together. We ask that you shine your light unto the family while we rejoice in you, Father, and we thank you for guiding us all here safely, and for making this all possible. Without you, our family would not exist, this reunion would not be happening, and these feelings of sheer joy would not be felt. In Your name, we pray. AMEN!

Lord almighty, father of all creations, I need your help oh father to reunite my family. My husband has gone to live with another woman who uses withcraft. I need him back oh Lord. My financial position is constrained that I can hardly make ends meet. The little salary I get just disappears without me doing anything constractive.

I have a huge loan to offset, thieves have struck in my house twice in December 2011 and February 2012 and carried virtually all they could. Lord I need your powerful hand.

AMEN

Loving and merciful God,
may your Holy Spirit fill me today.
As I spend time and share a meal with my family members and friends,
may your Holy Spirit fill me with wisdom and right judgment.
May your thoughts be on my mind.
May your words be on my lips.
May your impulses be in my gut.
May your love and mercy be in my heart.
Loving and merciful God,
if it is your will that I speak today about things that may cause pain or difficulty,
grant me courage,
and help me to speak from a place of love and not of anger.
Loving and merciful God,
if it is your will that I do not speak today about things that may cause pain or difficulty,
grant me insight,
and help me to attain peace of mind and peace of heart.
Loving and merciful God,
grant me the ability to listen sincerely,
and help me to be compassionate and merciful.
Loving and merciful God,
I thank you for my family and my friends,
mindful that not all people today are surrounded by loved ones.
Hold close those who are lonely and those who go hungry.
Help me to know how to come to their aid.
Loving and merciful God,
protect our country and our world,
protect our children and all who are vulnerable,
and keep all people safe from harm and hate.
Grant us peace in our day.
We pray for all these things in the name of your son,
Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen

Gracious and loving God, we gather here today to celebrate our common bond and descendants of the (family name) family. As we do so, we remember all those men and women who have gone before us, leaving us the treasured memories of their lives. We recall how blessed we are to be a part of this journey of life. May our time together be a source of joy and hope for each one here.

We come with our own story of life. We bring with us our joys and sorrows, our trials and our successes. We come here knowing that the bond of history and of blood unites us. If there are differences that divide us, we pray that we will set them aside this day and welcome each one who is with us. We join in celebrating all the blessings which our ancestors have left us.

I invite you now to hold high any newborn infants or small children who were not with us the last time we met for a reunion. Let the other young children come to the front of our gathering (allow time for the gathering and holding up of the children).

God of life ... we behold those who will carry on our family ancestry. ... Gift them with a great love of life ... and a deep faith. ... May they know the blessings of our ancestors. ... May they appreciate what has been handed down to them. ... Thank you for these young treasures. ... Amen!
Blessed by the ties that bind us and blessed be our God for the may gifts given to us. We join now in thanking God for the food we are about to share.

Bless us, and these gifts of nourishment and of celebration, which we are about to receive. We thank you. Amen.

God be with our family,
From the youngest to the oldest,
Lighting up our relationships,
Sowing grace into our troubles.
God be with our family,
Weaving love into our work,
Our rest, and our play.
Amen.

Lord, we thank you for our family
For the talents and good things that you have given each of us
Please guide us, protect us and equip us
This day and every day
As we grow together in Your love
Amen.
