Prayer For God To Restore My Marriage
Abba, I ask that you would mend their hearts closely together and be the center of their marriage. Lord we ask that they seek forgiveness for any wrong doing. We pray that they extend love and patience to one another and that the lines of communication, sensitivity as well as understanding are once again opened. We ask that you will allow all the pain, hurt and disappointment to begin to subside. Lord we ask that forgiveness is welcomed by each of them. Lord we ask that you would allow your JOY to flow once again from heart to heart between them. Father we ask that you direct them as they seek you first in building trust, transparency and intimacy. Father we pray peace over their household, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Lord, I come in the name of Jesus asking that you to make a way in this wilderness of healing and restoration for ________ (name of wife & husband) in their marriage. Your words are trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to me. You have said that You will build a home for them and that it pleases You to bless their marriage so it will continue before You forever. You have spoken, and with your blessing, this home and marriage will be established with blessings forever. II Samuel 7:25-29
"Dear God, so much has happened (for better and for worse) since I've gotten married. Thank you for always being present with my spouse and me through everything. We need you, the source of all love, to help us fix the damage to our relationship that has been caused by [mention the specific issues here].
Our marriage needs a miracle right now. I feel hurt and frustrated by what's happened, and I confess that sometimes I doubt that our marriage can really be repaired. Please send me and my spouse a fresh dose of hope to help us believe that our marriage can improve. Open our hearts to you, each other, and your holy angels, so that we can fully receive the blessings you want to send us.
Guide us step by step to help us learn how to change our attitudes and actions with each other so that our relationship becomes stronger. Empower us through your Spirit to forgive each other for our mistakes and to choose each new day to treat each other with love, respect, and kindness.
Rekindle the spark of romantic attraction between us and keep the fire of our sexual relationship burning brightly for each other (and no one else). Inspire us with fresh ideas to express our love for each other sexually in ways that fulfill both of us. Empower us to avoid temptations to sin in ways that can damage our sexual relationship with each other (such as indulging in pornography or affairs). Help us focus on each other and maintain a passionate relationship within our marriage.
Give us the wisdom we need to communicate clearly with each other and better understand each other. Help us consistently invest time and energy into our marriagedespite other demands like work and parentingso that our emotional connection won't be neglected. Surround us with caring and trustworthy people who will encourage and support us as we work to build a better marriage. Help us both to stay focused on you as our top priority each day. Lead us in the same direction together: closer to you.
I believe that you can choose to do anything to improve our marriage if both of us are willing to cooperate with your work. Thank you for answering my prayer; I trust in your complete and unconditional love for both of us and look forward to whatever miracles you may bring into our marriage."
Heavenly Father,
I come before you today with a heavy heart; my
marriage is in trouble, and I need your help.
Make changes in my spouse's heart. Make us
compatible again, and bring us closer together.
Fill us with your love and give us the strength
to love one another, care for one another, and
fulfill your destiny for us.
Show us the harm caused by careless words,
and the pain caused by emotional distance.
Bring us together, like we once were. Show
us how to love one another again.
Heal the division between us. Make us one again.

Almighty God, help us to be strong in You. We know that we can do nothing by ourselves. We pray that You heal our marriage and restore our union with each other. We praise Your holy name because we are Your children and know that You are protecting us. We know You want what is best for us, and that You want our bond to be unbreakable. Crush every enemy, sin, Satan and worldly force who is trying to destroy our marital bond. Cast down these dividing spirits, in Jesus's name, because our marriage has been ordained by God as an example of unity according to the will and purpose of the Lord, our Creator. Amen.
Dear Lord, Miracle Worker, I come to You in despair because my marriage right now is in a storm, with waves crashing around me at all sides. I am afraid that my marriage is going to be destroyed, and I need Your divine intervention to quiet the sea of my marriage. Lord, just as You told that wind to be still, please bring peace and understanding to my marriage. Cover us with understanding, love, and the spirit of reconciliation as we work toward repair the harm that has been done. Father, by faith, I pray that the wind will stop and there will be a great calm over our marriage, in Jesus's name. Amen.
Lord God, we can no longer remain stagnant in our marriage. Yet we can't move forward, and we refuse to go backward. Our relationship feels broken like an old fashioned phonograph needle stuck on the same groove. So we are reaching out to You. Protect us from becoming another divorce statistic. In the name and through the blood of Jesus Christ, we resist our enemy who wants us to end this marriage. Lord, we ask You to rebuke the devour who is trying to rip apart the beautiful covenant began in us as a couple. We run to You, our Defender and Protector, our Refuge and Shelter in the time of trouble. We declare in the name of Jesus that our enemy, the devil, has no right to interfere in the sacred building of our relationship because You live in us and You are greater than the one who roams around looking for victims to destroy.
We know it is Your will to pray and believe for the healing of our marriage, and we are willing to work on it together. We stake our lives on Your promise, Lord, that when we trust in You with all our heart, You will direct our paths. You have connected our two spirits in oneness and cemented them with the bond of Your Holy Spirit. And what God has joined together, we give no room for our enemy to bring division. Your Word brings us truth, and wearing the spiritual armor You have given to us, we will fight for our marriage with You as our Supreme Warrior and Commander, and the third strand in our relationship together. In the precious and powerful name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.
Lord Jesus, nothing seems to be going right in our marriage. Lately, we argue over so many things. Or we walk out in anger or silence, too upset to deal with any issues. Sometimes we fuss about little problems that don't really matter or hide things that really are important. But in Your eyes, Lord, everything matters. Pebbles grow to mountains when they pile up, day after day. When did it all start? Did we retreat into our own worlds? Become too busy to care? Did we stop listening to You and to each other?
Teach us how to communicateto simply talk to each other again with courtesy and kindness. Show us again what love and respect look like, and what it means to honor and mutually submit to the other as a man and woman in love with You, Lord. We've forgotten all the basics. And we sense that if we don't deal with even small problems now, we'll be facing a much greater roadblock later. Maybe we've forgotten what love is really like. Or maybe we never really knew. Regardless, Lord, our marriage is in trouble. We need you. No matter how difficult the circumstances, we want to face them togetherwith You on our side. You've told us we would experience troubles on this earth, but that You are the great Overcomer. With You, Lord, we can mend the tears and amend the errors. With You, we can build a successful marriage. In Your name, Amen.
